Bestman Speech Checklist

Bestman speech finished? Have you remembered everything? Use the checklist to make sure.

How it works

Compare your bestman speech with the checklist. On the checklist:
  • Firstly check off the topics you have included.
  • Next cross through the ones you do not want.
  • Then highlight the ones left to write about.
  • Finally come back again and do the above steps until there is nothing left to highlight.
Think of each highlighted topic as a chunk and then concentrate on writing that chunk.

Before you know it, you will have written your speech.

Remember this checklist is to help you. It is a comprehensive list so do not feel you have to include everything if you do not want to.

List Of Speech Topic

Things Not To Do

  • Do not swear, weddings are family events.
  • Do not ramble on. Guests have short attention spans.
  • Do not talk about groom’s ex girlfriends.
  • Do not forget or mix up the bride’s name.
  • Do not drink a lot beforehand.
  • Do not forget you are being video taped.
  • Do not expect everyone to get your jokes.
