Ceremonial Speeches
Ceremonial speeches are usually given to commemorate special occasions
Special Occasions such as :
Retirement – when you or someone you know is leaving
Award- when presenting an award, gift or honour
Thank You Speech- when receiving an award, gift or honour
Memorials - to remember an event or a person that has died
Eulogies- paying tribute to someone who has recently died
Graduation- receiving an academic degree or moving from primary to secondary level.
Best man speech- at a wedding
Welcome- when you welcome people to an event, or occasion
Introduction – to introduce a speaker
usually require someone to give a fitting tribute to mark the occasion. If you have been given this honor, make sure you do it well.
