It’s no secret that when Sarah was born I was very put out.

There I was, the apple of my daddy’s eye one minute and the next I was the ‘oldest’ and ought to know better.

Having a younger sister should have been fun but in all honesty we argued more than we played together.

In the last few years things have changed. Maybe it is because we are older, or she finally stopped pinching my clothes. But now we have really become close sisters.

So when she told me she was getting married I began to feel jealous of her again.

Oh yes I knew she would look absolutely gorgeous (and she hasn’t disappointed us, just look at her) and once again dad will be ignoring me and paying her all the attention .

But the reason for my jealously is all to do with Liam.

Yes Liam, please look smug. You will now be the most special person in Sarah's life and I will be the old spinster sister who you have to invite over for Sunday dinner as you feel sorry for me.

Liam you are a very lucky person and I wish you and Sarah all the best on your wonderful journey together, just remember to set the table for me every Sunday.

When two people fall in love, it is magical. When two people decide to commit to marriage, it's insane.

Seriously, I've lived happily 'in sin' for the last ten years and people say I would be crazy to get married now. But you know looking at Serena today and how blissfully happy she looks I'm beginning to think I the insane one by not getting married.

Marriage is about commitment, it is about sharing new things together, having someone that you trust and respect. It is about wanting to be with your special someone for the rest of your life.

Ken is a very lucky man finding Serena. She has a way of making the most mundane tasks seem exciting.

Serena has an air of honesty so when she says you can 'trust me' you certainly can and most of all she is wonderful to be around.

Gee if I was Ken I would be counting my lucky stars that I met her. I'm glad he was sane enough to pop the question.
