Free Retirement Toasts

Use the free retirement toasts or make up your own

A toast is different from a speech. The speech can be long and often contains stories and roasts whilst a toast is just a couple of lines and at the end of the speech.

Making an official toast will include raising your glasses to the retiree (so make sure everyone has a full glass)

There are 3 parts to making a retirement toast:

Say something to toast the retiree.

Raise your glass (in your right hand) and say something like To Pete, happy retirement. The guests will follow your lead.

Sip the toast glass. This completes the toast.

Remember to keep it short, this is not the place to include poems or verse, just a positive one liner is all that is required.

Gary, you will be missed
Pete, you have been a great asset to the company we wish you well.
Max, you can bin the calendar, because now every day is Saturday.
Louise, now you've retired you can say goodbye to your tension and hello pension.
Karen, enjoy your retirement after all it is one long coffee break.
And remember John, retirement gives you the chance to find happiness in the little things.
