Interesting Speech Topics

Learn the secrets behind finding interesting speech topics

An interesting speech will keep your audience listening. Your audience will forget about clock watching and be enthralled with what you are saying.

Wouldn’t it be great to give a talk that had that type of effect? You can, if you choose your topic wisely.

Audience analysis

One of the first things you should do is to understand your audience.

Knowing and understanding their needs and wants will help you prepare a presentation that meets their requirements.

If you ignore their needs and only consider your own, your presentation may be judged a failure regardless of how fine the speech was.

Remember you are matching a topic to suit your audience. Whether you are wanting some demonstration speech topics, or looking for a graduation speech idea, make sure it will keep the interest of your audience and certainly not offend them. Although the origin of halloween is a great topic for an informative speech, if you audience consists of devout catholics, you are more likely to have a mutiny on your hands rather than a round of applause.

So remember the key ingredient to your public speaking presentation is to ask yourself ' what will make the audience happy, what do they want?'
