Marriage Proposal Poems are just one way of say' Will You Marry Me?

Wow, you are thinking of proposing. This is a big thing. Whether this is your first or your fifth proposal how you say and do it will be remembered for a long time. Yes I mean it, even if the other person doesn't accept they will still remember your proposal.

Many people don't opt for the simple 'will you marry me'. Personally, I love that line, but if you do want to do something different, let me help.

Firstly think about your loved one. You are planning to spend the rest of your life with them, but do you know them well enough to choose the right type of poem? In fact are you sure they will enjoy listening to poetry?

If you want them to accept your marriage proposal, they need to be looking at you in a positive light. If you have bored them or lost their attention with your marriage proposal poem you might end up with a refusal or worse still, they might be so distracted they are not aware that you have even asked them a question.

Well you need one to suit their personality. Think about your future fiancé/fiancée, hopefully by now you have a fair idea of what their likes and dislikes are and how romantic they are. The more you know about them the more likely you are to get one that 'fits just perfectly'.

Don't worry, I'm sure you are not going to be refused just because you recited something that is not to their taste. You may though start to put doubts in their mind.

Well read it out loud to yourself, or even better to someone else?  Does your attention span waver at any part of it?  If so then it is too long. Two or three verses at the most is a good length. After all you don't want your love one to nod off half way through before you get to pop the question.

Be Sincere

Understand it. The meaning in some poetry is not always obvious; many are full of subtleties.  So make sure you know what you are saying when you are reciting it. Sincerity is very important for successful speaking and even more so when you are asking someone to marry you.
